Tim Lasusa Named Inaugural Georgetown Squash Head Coach

Francis X. Rienzo Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed announced the hiring of Tim Lasusa as the inaugural head coach of the squash program. Lasusa comes to the Hilltop after spending the past four seasons as an assistant coach at Yale.

“I am excited and honored to be joining the Georgetown community,” Lasusa said. “Georgetown has an incredible tradition of excellence in college athletics and I am thrilled to be a part of the inaugural varsity season for squash. I would like to thank Lee Reed and Kelli Myers for this amazing opportunity and I look forward to beginning this journey with the team.”

Lasusa previously served as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at Yale under coach Dave Talbott. He guided the men’s squad to a top-five finish in 2019 and guided the women’s team to a top-three finish in the 2020 College Squash Association rankings. Prior to his time in New Haven, Lasusa coached at the Round Hill Club in Greenwich, Connecticut and helped mentor several of the top U.S. junior players in the country.
